Alphia, a Denver-based manufacturer of pet food, has appointed Cade Culver as chief growth and transformation officer and Jack Reid as chief people officer, effective immediately. In these roles, Culver will be responsible for driving business growth and implementing transformative strategies within the company, and Reid will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture and shaping the Alphia team, company officials said.
“As we continue to expand the leadership team, we are excited to welcome both Cade and Jack to Alphia, marking an exciting step forward for the company,” said David McLain, CEO and president of Alphia. “With their extensive experience and dedication to driving growth and innovation within the pet food industry, I am confident these new team members will help advance the company forward.”
As a seasoned leader with more than 16 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, Culver is well-equipped to navigate and excel in the dynamic pet food industry, officials said. Before his tenure at Alphia, he served as president at Lassonate Pappas & Company, chief commercial officer at Hearthside Food Solutions, and vice president and general manager of Dole Diversified North America. In these roles, he was responsible for engineering, research and development, sales, business development and customer service.
“I look forward to contributing to Alphia’s mission to produce safe, quality pet food as we continue to lead the pet industry and create a positive impact with our partners,” Culver said. “Growth and innovation are at the heart of our goals, propelling us forward to continuously enhance the life of pets.”
With more than 25 years of experience in human resources, Reid has a proven track record of driving organizational success through talent development and culture-building initiatives, officials said. Prior to his appointment at Alphia, he served as chief human resources officer at Spectrum Plastics and vice president of human resources at Pexco. In both roles, he played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s human resources landscape while fostering a workplace of inclusivity, officials said.
“I’m looking forward to stepping into this new role at Alphia and hope to make a positive impact on the team’s culture,” Reid said. “Alphia is at an exciting stage of development and I’m honored to be part of a company that upholds its reputation as the leading manufacturer of pet food and treats.”
